This Privacy Policy explains how People Plus (“People Plus”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website or contact us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and GDPR-style best practice.

Who we are

People Plus is the personal consultancy and executive-coaching practice of Prof. Ravi Parthasarathy, operating from Singapore and Bengaluru, India. For any privacy question or request, contact us at pravi202@gmail.com. We act as the data controller for the personal data described here.

What data we collect

• Consultation enquiries: your name, email, and any phone number, organization, role and message you choose to provide.
• Newsletter: your email address and the fact and time of your consent.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser user-agent, collected only to protect the site against spam and abuse.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and we ask that you not include sensitive personal information in free-text fields.

Why we use your data (lawful basis)

• To respond to your enquiry — on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
• To send the newsletter — on the basis of your consent, given through a double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link we email you).
• To protect the website — on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing spam, fraud and abuse.

Email and marketing

Newsletter subscriptions use a double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link and only add you once you click it. Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time from our unsubscribe page.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted processors who handle data on our behalf, under appropriate contractual safeguards:

• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
• Neon — managed Postgres database that stores enquiries and subscriptions.
• Resend — delivery of transactional and newsletter email.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — privacy-friendly spam protection on our forms.

Data retention

• Consultation requests are kept for as long as they are relevant to your enquiry or our ongoing relationship, after which they are deleted on request.
• Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed (pending) subscriptions are purged after 30 days.
• Technical data used for abuse prevention is retained only as long as needed for that purpose.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to withdraw consent at any time, and to raise a grievance. To exercise any of these rights, email pravi202@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Data location and transfers

Our processors may store and process data on servers located outside India or Singapore. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on these providers' contractual and technical safeguards to protect it to a standard consistent with this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
